A child must be neurologically ready to learn.
If a child’s vestibular, proprioceptive, tactile, visual, and auditory systems have not developed properly, they will fail to support the child’s attempts to learn academic work, sit still, pay attention, complete tasks, and learn appropriate social behaviors. Current brain research shows movement is the key to rewiring and integrating the brain for improved learning outcomes. In our Brain Workout™ program, a personal coach will guide each student through this intensive one-on-one remediation program designed to train the sensorimotor system in balance, coordination, rhythm, sequencing, mindfulness and focus/attention. The activities and body exercises strengthen thinking and sequencing abilities that prepare the brain to learn. The result is that students will improve reading and comprehension levels, math scores, better grades, and improved behavior.
Can we change the brain?
Neuroplasticity refers to your brain’s ability to reorganize itself, both physically and functionally, throughout your life due to your environment, behavior, thinking, and emotions.
In our program, we provide training in memory, executive function and perceptual motor skills which change the brain through repetition, intensity, duration, and buy-in. Our motto is “practice makes progress!” Children will benefit from specific brain-based activities if they:
Cannot stay sit still or stay focused
Are disruptive in the classroom
Have difficulty following verbal instructions
Struggle with reading
Struggle with math concepts
Have poor memory
